Songs On Sunday - God's Impeccable Timing

God has impeccable timing. Just on the heels of my last post, the song I am posting today is a confirmative balm. This morning I had fully intended on attending church, but I woke up with a very sore knee and overall not feeling well. Being at church would mean a lot of time in the worst position (90* angle) for my knee/leg. As Hubby kissed me goodbye, I was crying. I flipped on tv to see if I could find Charles Stanley or another good sermon. I miss Dr. Stanley, but I did get to hear some beautiful music from another preacher's (who I didn't listen to) show. First there was Randy Travis, whose music I love! That was a treat. Then The Talleys sang this song which Avalon (and probably others) recorded. God is good. All the time.

Orphans of God (Avalon)

Who here among us has not been broken
Who here among us is without guilt or pain
So oft’ abandoned by our transgressions
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this

Chorus:
There are no strangers
There are no outcasts
There are no orphans of God
So many fallen, but hallelujah
There are no orphans of God

Come ye unwanted and find affection
Come all ye weary, come and lay down your head
Come ye unworthy, you are my brother
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this

O blessed Father, look down upon us
We are Your children, we need Your love
We run before Your throne of mercy
And seek Your face to rise above
