My friend Cary gave me all these yummy things for my birthday! On the left is a gray mix of different wools, some long wools and some short, which she called "Stone Soup"! The middle is some great turquoise and gray carded together and the white is a bit of her skirtings. It feels so lucious...I wish you could feel it through the screen. Her skirtings are nicer than some people's prime wool! And peeking from behind is the Sheep Shawl pattern from Fiber Trends. It's something I would really like to knit for myself and I am considering spinning for it and knitting it on the Journey To A Shawl SAL/KAL.
And here is a picture of "Cary's Comfort Wool"! This year I was on a waiting list and since some were not able to get wool this year, I was able to get this hoggett fleece from Carley, one of the lambs belonging to her her son A. Well, he did a marvelous job raising her and her wool is wonderful. I had Cary take this to Zeilinger's to process it and I have been just itching to dive into this for some spinning!
And this shows exactly how much I have to spin! Maybe I should knit a sweater! :o) If you would like to know more about Cary's farm, sheep, wool and other farm products, please visit here.

LOL...I wondered if you would be surprised by how much roving would actually be made ;D
I'm glad that you like everything! You are such a blessing to me and I am glad you are my friend!
Hugs, Cary
