Thinking of You

Here is a finished object, finally! I have actually had this done for awhile but not blocked. Have I mentioned that I hate blocking? LOL This is the Thinking of You scarf kit, designed by Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer of Heart Strings and purchased from my friend Margaret at Heritage Yarns. The yarn is Jaeger Zephyr 4/8, a worsted weight silk and merino yarn in the color Lady Slipper. The pattern actually has three repeats of the interlocking hearts but because this knitter did not do a gauge (Yes, I know!) and she knits loose, there was not enough yarn to finish as the pattern called for. Still, I think it turned out nice and will do! I think this would be a fun pattern for a beginning lace knitter to do.

The recipient of the scarf is my Secret Sister at church. We had our reveal today at a nice brunch and it was fun to hear everyone's stories of their experiences and see how we had all surprised each other. Unfortunately the recipient wasn't there today so I didn't get to see whether or not she liked it and meet her. Hopefully she will be there tomorrow.

That scarf is just lovely. I recently completed a scarf from Margaret too for a lady at church. Great minds, you know.

The scarf turned out really well! I have the pattern and I want to spin some yarn up for it. I hope that you Secret Sister liked it!
