My Mother's Day gift was to have a day to myself yesterday and I really needed it. I'll be posting a couple more pics probably because I saw Swallowtail Butterflies, but I wanted to be sure and get this up for my best friend Shelley to see. This is cropped out of a larger photo and enlarged so you can see the antennas. Can you see how they curl, just like we draw them when we are kids or in cute kids' art? I thought that was just artistic license; I did not know that some insect antenna indeed curls like that. The bee was moving really fast so it is not totally in focus, but I thought it was also neat how you can see the outline of the wing. I get so excited when God gives me things like this to photograph, I just couldn't keep it to myself, so I had to share.

Very cool capture.
A lovely image of... not a bee but a hummingbird moth :) The curly thing is its probiscus, for drinking nectar, and not the antennae, which are just above it, with clubbed.
