Songs On Sunday

Today our pastor began a series on Genesis and these two songs which deal with God's beautiful creation were sung - my heart soared in the midst of family chaos (disappointed children because their SS teacher wasn't there and one threw a huge fit!). God has often spoke to me through His awesome Creation. From the evidence I have seen and read about, there is NO conflict between Truth in the Bible and Truth in Science. There is no need to check your brain out at the door to be a Christian and believe the Bible is 100% True! In fact, having your brain engaged at all times is a good thing! :o) If you are interested in science and the Bible, I highly recommend Answers In Genesis.

Your Love Oh Lord
by Third Day

Chorus:
Your love, oh Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness stretches to the sky
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide

I will lift my voice
To worship You, my King
I will find my strength
In the shadow of your wings

Chorus

20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20, NIV, Courtesy of Bible Gateway

Shout to the Lord
by Darlene Zschech/Hillsong Music

My Jesus, my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love

My comfort, my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Shout to the Lord
All the Earth, let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name

I sing for joy at the work
Of Your hand
Forever I'll love You
Forever I'll stand
Nothing compares
To the promise I have
In You

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,

the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—

the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—

he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore.
