Snow!

Nope. Not here. It hasn't stuck on the ground here since the 1940s! This is a picture from my Mom's in northwest Washington. They had 8" of snow and lots of icy wind today. They live about ten miles by road from the Canadian border (closer by crow's flight). It's really beautiful country and when Mom sent me this picture she took today, it made me homesick! D was very excited to see the snow. He said, "That's TODAY!?" A wanted to go NOW so they can build snowmen and play in the snow. We had to explain that it won't be there next summer when we get there!

Wow! Awesome! :) You know... you can make really cheap fun kid snow... Give everyone a box of Kleenex... have everyone lay in the middle of the floor... then say GO! and have them throw them into the air as fast as they can... they can't make a snowman... but they can have some really CHEAP clean snow fun ;) And then you can put the kleenex back in the box and do it all over again.

Right Mom, so let's go now! Why wait till summer? Or perhaps, a little trip to the Sierra's this winter is in order?
